Large and Specialised Risks
MIT has the available expertise, knowledge and experience in managing Large and Specialized Risks. The Scheme for Insurance of Large & Specialized Risks (SILSR) was implemented on 1 January 1994 with an appointment of a Scheme Manager by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) to facilitate the most favorable cover at internationally competitive terms for the Malaysian risk owners.
Throughout the years, MIT had managed several type of industries categorized as Large & Specialized Risks in Malaysia, ranging from Independent Power Producers, Sea Port & Terminal Operators, Marine & Aviation Hull, Highway Concession companies and major construction risks.
MIT’s ability to understand the operations and risk exposures of the businesses would be beneficial to potential clients where the insurance program would be tailor made in accordance with the needs. MIT can also address the issue of any gap in cover where introduction and implementation of prudent risks management will be applied as means of reducing any potential uninsured risks and exposures.
